Kincaid STA Moose Ride @ Jodphur Parking Lot
Jun 1 @ 18:30 – 20:30

The ride will begin at 6:30pm at the Jodphur parking lot in Kincaid Park. This will be the first official Recreational Division MTN bike ride of the season! We will be riding the STA trails. These are some of the funnest trails in Anchorage, there are always big smiles on this ride! There is also lots of moose in the park, so we will be careful to not have any run-ins with these magnificent creatures.

Remember to bring your helmet as they are required for all ABC rides. Also, a parent or guardian must be in attendance for any riders under the age of 18.

Matanuska Lakes Ride
Jun 3 @ 09:30

The ride will begin at 10:30am at the Matanuska Lakes State Recreation Area (mile 36.4 of the Glenn Hwy). Meet at Carrs Muldoon at 9:30am to carpool. Please bring $$ as there is a fee to park, I think it is $7.

We will be riding the dirt single tract and ski trails of the park. There has been known to be plenty of Alaska’s mighty mosquitoes here, so bring your bug repellant.

Remember to bring your helmet as they are required for all ABC rides. Also, a parent or guardian must be in attendance for any riders under the age of 18.

Russian River
Jun 10 @ 07:30

We are going to do a car shuttle from the parking lot at the Russian River Campground / parking lot to avoid having to ride on the Sterling HWY and Snug Harbor Road. I have heard there is free parking, but bring some $$ to park right in case there is a fee.

The ride will begin at 10am at the Russian River Campground (mile 52.6 Sterling HWY) in Cooper Landing. We will park cars there and only take a couple vehicles to the trail head on Snug Harbor Road.  Meet at Carrs Huffman at 7:30am to carpool.

This is a 21 mile single tract ride from Cooper Lake, past Upper and Lower Russian Lake, and follows the valley of the Russian River to the trail head at the Russian River campground at mile 52.6 of the Sterling Hwy.

This is a ride in the Alaskan WILDERNESS, be fit, be aware, be prepared, bring a lunch and water! There is the possibility to see bears and moose on the trail, bear spray would be a good idea.

Also when we are finished with the ride we will go for a bite to eat at a local restaurant in Cooper Landing. Maybe also leave a snack or cold beverage in your vehicle, since after the ride we will have to wait for the car shuttle to pick up the vehicles we drove the the start of the ride at the end of Snug Harbor rode.

Remember to bring your helmet as they are required for all ABC rides. Also, a parent or guardian must be in attendance for any riders under the age of 18.
